**About Central Square Foundation (CSF):**
Established in 2012, Central Square Foundation (CSF) is a non-profit organization committed to improving learning outcomes for all school-going children in India through systemic reforms. CSF works across 14 states, focusing on Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN), EdTech integration, Early Childhood Education (ECE) reforms, and School Governance. Their initiatives span innovation, policy, and practice, aiming for large-scale learning impact. CSF collaborates with 11 state governments on statewide FLN missions and leverages AI to enhance learning.
**About the Policy and Communications Team (PAC):**
The PAC team at CSF works to raise awareness of CSF’s key thematic areas and establish the organization as a thought leader in India’s school education sector. The team collaborates closely with various program teams within CSF. The core workstreams are Salience and Communications.
**Job Summary:**
The Project Manager will primarily work within the Salience workstream, supporting the team in building relationships with key stakeholders, conducting research to inform messaging, collaborating with program teams, identifying opportunities to strengthen salience efforts, creating content, managing knowledge, organizing events, and representing CSF at various platforms. The role reports to the Senior Project Lead – Policy and Communications.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
* Conduct research to develop messaging and materials to raise awareness of CSF’s work.
* Collaborate with program teams to amplify CSF’s initiatives.
* Identify opportunities to enhance salience efforts and gather data on policy issues.
* Create content for internal and external use and contribute to knowledge management.
* Support the organization of salience events and represent CSF at meetings and conferences.
* Develop tools and practices to improve PAC’s effectiveness.
* Manage relationships with consultants, vendors, and partners, designing engagement strategies and timelines.
**Required Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:**
* Master’s degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, Development Studies, or a related field.
* 2-4 years of work experience in the policy/governance sector.
* Proven ability to build relationships with key stakeholders and manage projects.
* Experience working with elected officials, government representatives, policymakers, CSO heads, or thought leaders.
* Strong research, analysis, and writing skills.
* Fluency in spoken and written English and Hindi (with translation capabilities).
* Interest in development, policy, politics, and current affairs.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Proficiency in Office 365 Suite/Google Workspace.
