**About the Project:**

 

The “Promotion of Sustainable Urban Solid Waste Management Programme” in Khambhalia districts of Gujarat aims to enhance public health and environmental sustainability. This initiative focuses on decentralized solid waste management practices in urban areas, promoting waste segregation, recycling, and responsible disposal methods. 

 

**Job Location:** Khambhalia, Gujarat

 

**Job Description:**

 

The Project Manager will oversee the implementation and management of the Solid Waste Management (SWM) program in urban and rural areas. This role involves ensuring all activities meet quality standards, promoting hygiene awareness, and establishing sustainable waste management systems in educational institutions/wards.

 

**Key Responsibilities:**

 

* **Project Planning and Implementation:**

    * Develop detailed work plans for SWM activities at the ward level.

    * Ensure all programs are executed according to established timelines and budgets.

    * Build and develop interactive specific IEC and BCC content for various stakeholders.

* **Monitoring and Evaluation:**

    * Monitor project progress and prepare timely reports for donors.

    * Conduct regular evaluations to assess the impact of the SWM projects.

    * Participate in quarterly audits by partner organizations.

    * Attend monthly meetings with donors.

    * Plan activities and prepare fortnightly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.

* **Stakeholder Engagement:**

    * Coordinate with administrators, local governments (nagar Parishad, District), and community groups.

    * Plan, coordinate, and conduct trainings with key stakeholders on safe sanitation technology, ODF++, ODF Sustainability, and Solid and Liquid Waste Management.

* **Compliance and Reporting:**

    * Maintain documentation and reports to demonstrate compliance with donor and regulatory requirements.

    * Document case studies/success stories.

    * Prepare progress reports on Behavior Change Communication, Infrastructure, Operations, and Maintenance.

    * Maintain MIS Trackers.

* **Team Leadership:**

    * Manage a team of field staff and volunteers.

    * Provide technical guidance and support to ensure effective project delivery.

 

**Qualification:**

 

* Any Graduate/Post Graduation (BSW/MSW, B.Tech (Civil), B.Sc/M.Sc (Environment Science))

 

**Experience:**

 

* 5/7 Years in the Development Sector/Corporate Sector in the areas of Waste Management, Skill Development, Training, and Capacity Building.

 

**Key Skills Required:**

 

* Documentation

* Presentation

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools

 

**Remuneration:**

 

* INR 45,000/- to INR 50,000/- PM (Negotiable for the eligible candidate)

* Travel expenses as per organization norms
