SUMMARY
Project Manager in Wadhwani AI will be responsible for assisting the solutions manager and project leads in tracking and delivery of the solutions. Also, will provide on-ground knowledge and project management to help design, pilot, and deploy our solutions.

The Wadhwani Institute for Artificial Intelligence (Wadhwani AI) is an independent nonprofit institute developing AI-based solutions for underserved communities in developing countries.
We work with over 40 partners including key government agencies, international development organizations, NGOs, and research organizations to identify real-world challenges, create and deploy innovative AI solutions to reach intended users and beneficiaries – with the objective of creating sustainable, scalable impact.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversees the planning and execution of projects.
- Decides on priorities in projects, and works with engineering personnel to allocate resources
- Identifies critical dependencies with external stakeholders and research/programs/products and ensures follow-through
- Champion in the usage of Asana for managing timelines and to-dos
- Acts as the scrum master across all projects
- Understands technology well to estimate effort in engineering, formal understanding of software design and development
- Works well with cross-functional teams to drive agenda items related to the delivery of software
- Supports the product/solution lead in areas of scheduling and prioritization.
- Understand a projects scope and create documents for project requirements.
- Organize the teams work plans, follow up on their progress and keep track of different projects.
- Create a dashboard that gives an overview of all plans, projects, deliverables, obligations, partnerships, and deadlines
- Conduct project meetings to communicate individual roles, and project expectations, and ensure that all project team members have the tools and training required to perform effectively
- Monitor projects on a regular basis, evaluating progress and quality, and managing the issue resolution process to ensure corrective actions are taken
- Maintain the quality of all project documents/data to assure the integrity of a project
- Work with the project manager to report analyzed data and communicate results
- Develop additional tools and refine processes to help all projects run effectively
- Coordinate the schedule of activities related to the project.
- Keep in touch with relevant stakeholders and potential new partners through briefings.
- Organize webinars and lectures to drive community engagement, and later workshops & conferences when things go back to normal
REQUIREMENTS
- At least 8 – 15 years of experience in project management, working with development programs.
- Should have prior experience working with program management tools, Gantt charts, work plans, and timelines.
- Excellent written communication and strong experience in maintaining documents, contacts, records, and reports
- Self-driven, result-oriented, and experienced in supporting teams activities
- Comfortable traveling for field visits when required.
- Capable of documenting minutes of meetings, and field findings, and drafting reports with inputs from other team members.
- Team Management experience will be an add-on.
- Excellent in documentation and written communication.
- Ability to work in resource-constrained and ambiguous environments to define priorities
- Is disciplined in execution and can implement good practices.
- Candidates should have a bachelor’s/Master’s or equivalent in Engineering Discipline or equivalent industry experience.
