The Research and Evaluation team at SELCO Foundation conducts deep-dive studies and work towards creating evidence that brings out the organisation’s approach. It also conducts landscape studies which help inform the strategy and direction of the organization. The team also anchors some key tasks that aim towards improved dissemination of the organisation’s approach tools amongst the team members. Being an implementation based organization, the aim is to constantly improve the sustainability, efficiency and effectiveness of the programs designed by the organisation. The Project Manager will be a key resource to accumulate information from various departments of the organization, treating/editing/analysing/compiling it for the purpose of various external stakeholders as well as planning and executing a dissemination strategy. The forms of content will include but not be limited to articles, case studies, research reports, videos and dissemination channels will include but not be limited to various print and online news agencies and content platforms, organization owned websites and blogs, special interest magazines as well as on partner platforms. The candidate will be working in a hands-on manner with implementation teams and should have experience in working with grassroots practitioners for research and narrative building.

Responsibilities

  • Develop critical content by accumulating information from the implementation teams as per the priority subjects, relevance to external stakeholders and time of dissemination
  • Conduct secondary research, lead consultations with primary stakeholders (community members, practitioners and sectoral experts) to validate information
  • Analyse information gathered from multiple sources, and develop
  • Management and mentorship of team members based in Bangalore, and other offices for writing and management of content while adhering to strict timelines
  • Keep abreast with trends and narratives emerging in the sector
  • Assist, write, translate content for other organizational needs that may arise from time to time, including but not limited to reports, presentations, proposals
  • Manage and deliver content for press releases, media relations content, newsletter content, regular blogs and updating of communication on the website.

Who Should Apply

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Journalism, Communications, Media or Creative Writing
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Strong networking capabilities and demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills suitable for collaborating with multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to process information and create compelling documentation for the sector
  • Experience in connecting conceptual approaches and narratives with ground realities
  • Willingness to learn, grow and develop at personal and professional front, at a rapid pace with a steep learning curve
  • Ability to work in an interdisciplinary and multicultural environment
  • Willingness to travel for 7-10 days in a month
