We are collaborating with the District Commissioner of Jhajjar, Haryana to take our flagship framework CareerShala to 176 Senior Secondary schools across the district.

About us: Alohomora Education Foundation has made it its mission to enable young people from underserved communities to make interest and strength aligned career choices. Our flagship product CareerShala.co has content with 100+ sector professionals and takes students through a 5 step career decision making process. We plan to facilitate Career Shala with 10,000 students across India directly and take it to 10L+ students through strategic partnerships.

We support the design and implementation of Delhi Government’s Entrepreneurship Mindset Curriculum and are leading the design of Desh ke Mentor initiative as well taking our learning and philosophy to 7+ lakh students across 1024 schools of Delhi government.

Our idea was recognized by World Bank Youth Summit 2016 as top 6 ideas globally for Rethinking Education. We have also been part of incubation programs like N/Core Tech, TFIx, Unltd India and are poised to scale rapidly.

About the role: This role offers a unique opportunity to take our career exploration program to a new context. The intervention will be with school teachers across all 176 schools to equip them to support students to explore a diversity of careers and make informed choices.

You will be the bridge taking Alohomora’s philosophy and adapting it in the context of the project that will be impacting students across all 10-12th grades in 176+ government schools of Jhajjar. Your day to day responsibilities will be dynamic based on the project requirements and involve teacher capacity building, engaging with the key community and industry stakeholders of Jhajjar, and deep collaboration with school authorities, government officials and other partners such as CMGGA fellow working on the project.

Broad Areas of Responsibility:

1) Project planning: Support in creating implementation plan keeping in mind Alohomora’s mission, hold view of Alohomora’s purpose in the partnership throughout the implementation phase.

2) Build relationships with partners: Communicate goals and our work with senior government officials and education department authorities. Involve various stakeholders to be invested in the project and leverage them to achieve intended goals. Ensure visibility of Alohomora’s work in the district.

3) Support implementation: Work closely with education department and Alohomora team members to conduct teacher capacity building workshops, observe and debrief their work in their schools, provide ongoing problem-solving support, organize district level events etc. Ensure collection of periodic monitoring and evaluation data and insights from the ground.

4) Document learning and impact: Document learnings from your experience on the project that Alohomora may leverage for future work and share insights with the rest of the team. Support with creating reports documenting our work and impact.

What we are looking for:

1. At least 2 years of experience working in the development sector with experience working with multiple stakeholders.

2. Excellent relationship building skills and ability to positively engage with diverse profile of external stakeholders

3. Excitement to work on the field and travel within Jhajjar district

4. Excellent problem solving and strategic thinking to navigate a complex and sometimes uncertain environment

5. Strong drive to work independently in a fast paced, action oriented environment.

6. High openness and learning orientation to learn rapidly, adapt to changing course of actions, and willingness to take on multiple tasks during implementation.

Location: Jhajjar/ Delhi, NCR. You will primarily be based out of Jhajjar (1.5 hours from Gurgaon) with possibility of frequent travel back to Delhi.

Compensation Range: Rs. 5-7L pa
