**About the Classroom Instruction Practices (CIP) team**

 

The Classroom Instruction Practices (CIP) team at CSF helps district and state units improve program implementation by promoting the adoption of structured pedagogy resources, teacher professional development, and assessment-informed instruction.

 

**About the NIPUN Uttar Pradesh (UP) Quality Implementation Project**

 

The FLN NIPUN UP Quality Implementation Project aims to ensure high-fidelity implementation of the NIPUN Bharat Mission, focused on Foundational Literacy and Numeracy at the school level. The project aims to significantly improve student learning outcomes and classroom practices in over 100 schools. CSF’s district-level implementation team will support teachers through classroom observations, actionable feedback, continuous upskilling in instructional practices, and data for assessment-informed instruction. 

 

**Position Summary**

 

This role will execute the project’s implementation at the school level, ensuring focused implementation of the NIPUN program in the intervention schools.  The Project Manager is responsible for delivering significant gains in Student Learning Outcomes and Classroom Practices within a portfolio of 20+ schools. 

 

**Responsibilities:**

 

* Building and maintaining relationships with Head Masters and Assistant Resource Persons to secure program buy-in and resolve implementation challenges.

* Delivering high-impact school-level interventions to teachers, including classroom observations, actionable feedback, instructional skill building, and assessment-informed instruction through daily/weekly school visits.

* Utilizing data on student learning and classroom observations to continuously improve program quality, identify implementation breakdowns, and create action plans for improvement within their allocated school portfolio.

* Collaborating with the Project Lead to create daily/weekly school visit plans, review & reflect on individual performance, and identify priorities for future action.

 

**Required Experience and Skills:**

 

* 2-4 years of field-level school improvement experience in non-profit or educational product organizations, with a proven track record of improving student outcomes and teacher capacity.

* Hands-on academic expertise in foundational literacy and numeracy, teacher training, classroom observations, instructional coaching, and student assessments in government or low-income school contexts.

* A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in education, child development, or a related field is preferred.

* Knowledge, maturity, and confidence to effectively influence teachers by building trusting relationships, providing pragmatic academic solutions, and influencing practice shifts through the use of classroom data.

* Ability to extract actionable insights from data through analysis of classroom observations and student assessment data to identify breakdowns and create pragmatic solutions.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Hindi, with the ability to communicate complex academic concepts in a simple, practical manner. Familiarity with data and reporting tools and processes is essential.

* Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and operate in a planned and organized manner.

**Compensation:**

 

Remuneration will be competitive with Indian philanthropy pay scales and will depend on the candidate’s experience levels.
