Job description:

Assessment

  • Planning Integrated Water Resource Management activities in the urban, peri-urban and rural areas.
  • Mapping of water bodies, catchment area, drainage systems, inlet points, etc, using different technologies.
  • Designing of rejuvenation plans for water bodies.
  • Assessment of soil, flora and fauna, forward and backward linkages, and other parameters in a given region.

Implementation

  • Conducting rejuvenation work on water bodies.
  • Restoring the ecosystem, by creating and constructing infrastructure and structures in the area.
    Training and capacity building of farmers and other target groups on – resource management planning, agriculture, market and credit linkages, etc.
  • Formation of interest groups and capacity building of these groups. Encouraging decentralized planning and processes.
  • Management and coordination of field team.
  • Documentation and data analysis.
  • In-building technologies to amplify the impact in the project.

Monitoring and Evaluation

  • Designing systems for effective monitoring and evaluation.
  • Ensuring timely and quality of the outputs achieved.
  • Ensuring sustainability of the impact created at ground.

Business Development

  • Designing of knowledge products.
  • Networking and partnerships with stakeholders and donors.
  • Writing proposals and concept notes.

Innovations

  • Bringing in innovation in terms of process, activities and technologies.
  • Piloting and demonstration of new initiatives and innovations.
  • Incubation, replication, and amplification of the piloted innovations.
