## Project Officer(s) – Red Panda Conservation Program

**About the Program**
WWF India’s Khangchendzonga Landscape is seeking dedicated individuals to contribute to our critical Red Panda conservation initiative in Darjeeling. This program aims to ensure the long-term survival of the Red Panda, an iconic and endangered species, by addressing threats to their habitat and promoting sustainable practices in local communities.
**Job Location**
Darjeeling, West Bengal, India
**Experience Required**
* **Minimum 2 years** of relevant experience in conservation, project management, or related fields.
* Experience working on Red Panda conservation projects is preferred.
* Demonstrated skills in community engagement, data collection, and reporting.
**Responsibilities**
* Assist in the implementation of Red Panda conservation activities, including habitat restoration, monitoring, and research.
* Engage with local communities, collaborating on conservation initiatives and promoting sustainable livelihoods.
* Collect and analyze data related to Red Panda populations, threats, and conservation interventions.
* Prepare reports and presentations on project progress and achievements.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of communication and outreach programs.
* Collaborate with WWF team members and external partners to ensure project success.
**Qualifications**
* Bachelor’s degree in wildlife biology, ecology, environmental science, or a related field.
* Strong understanding of Red Panda ecology and conservation challenges.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Proficient in data analysis and reporting, with experience using relevant software.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Passion for conservation and a commitment to WWF’s mission.
