## Communications Officer – TRAFFIC India

**Job Summary:**

 

This role is responsible for managing TRAFFIC India’s communications strategy and activities, ensuring that TRAFFIC’s work is effectively communicated to target audiences and that the organization’s brand and message are consistently delivered.

 

**Job Location:**

 

New Delhi, India

 

**Experience Required:**

 

* Minimum 3 years of experience in communications, preferably in a conservation or non-profit setting.

* Proven track record of developing and implementing successful communications campaigns.

* Strong writing and editing skills, with experience in producing high-quality content for a variety of audiences.

* Experience in using social media platforms to engage with target audiences.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.

 

**Key Responsibilities:**

 

* Develop and implement TRAFFIC India’s communications strategy, aligned with WWF-India’s overall communications goals.

* Create and disseminate high-quality content for a variety of platforms, including website, social media, press releases, and reports.

* Manage TRAFFIC India’s social media presence, including content development, community engagement, and crisis communication.

* Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, government agencies, and other stakeholders.

* Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of TRAFFIC India’s communications activities, identifying areas for improvement.

* Stay up-to-date on relevant communications trends and best practices, including emerging technologies.

## Project Officer – Ecological Restoration (Darjeeling Field Office)

We are seeking a passionate and experienced **Project Officer** to join our Darjeeling Field Office and contribute to our ecological restoration efforts. 

 

**Location:** Darjeeling, West Bengal, India

 

**Key Responsibilities:**

 

* Develop and implement ecological restoration projects in the Darjeeling region, focusing on degraded forest areas.

* Conduct ecological assessments, including species surveys and habitat characterization.

* Plan and manage restoration activities, such as tree planting, seed collection, and soil management.

* Coordinate with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders.

* Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of restoration projects.

* Prepare reports and documentation for internal and external audiences.

 

**Requirements:**

 

* Master’s degree in Forestry, Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field.

* **Minimum 2 years of experience** in ecological restoration, including practical experience in field work and project implementation.
