About the Organization
The Wildlife Institute of India (WII) is an autonomous natural resource service institution established in 1982 under the Ministry of Environment Forest and Climate change, Government of India.[1] WII carries out wildlife research in areas of study like Biodiversity, Endangered Species, Wildlife Policy, Wildlife Management, Wildlife Forensics, Spatial Modeling, Ecodevelopment, Ecotoxicology, Habitat Ecology and Climate Change. WII has a research facility which includes Forensics, Remote Sensing and GIS, Laboratory, Herbarium, and an Electronic Library.
Job Description
Candidate will lead a team and conduct field research, surveys, data collection, analysis and report-writing for monitoring of wildlife underpasses and overpasses. Job also includes liasoning with forest department and MSRDC
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
Essential Qualification:
Doctoral Degree in Wildlife Science/ Botany/ Zoology/ Forestry/ Life Science/ Environmental Sciences from a recognized University.
AND
Minimum three (03) years relevant experience post PhD.
Desired Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience/ aptitude in a) spatial analysis and ecological modelling, b) statistical analysis, c) project design and coordination of multi-disciplinary project team and field data collection c) research publications in peer-reviewed national/ international journals.
Salary
Rs. 67,000 + HRA
