## Job Description: Regional Development Lead, North

The Development team at Teach For India is dedicated to creating lifelong champions and securing financial support for the organization’s mission. We build impactful partnerships with individuals, corporations, and foundations, ensuring the sustainability of our programs and initiatives. The team works closely with Teach For India’s senior leadership and partners with top-tier organizations in their respective sectors.
**Job Overview**
The Regional Development Lead, North, will play a crucial role in building and deepening partnerships with existing donors in Delhi and Kolkata, while also strategically cultivating new champions for the movement. This is a leadership position that requires exceptional relationship-building skills, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a deep personal commitment to Teach For India’s vision and mission.
**Responsibilities:**
* **Donor Stewardship:** Manage long-term and high-potential donors, building bespoke engagement strategies and opportunities for donor delight and branding.
* **Operational Excellence:** Maintain accurate data on donors in Salesforce, ensuring rigorous usage across regions for data-driven insights and projections.
* **Fundraising:** Generate compelling written communications, including proposals, concept notes, reports, and presentations, to inspire prospective donors to support Teach For India.
* **Stakeholder Engagement:** Work closely with City Directors, the Development Head, and other teams to ensure alignment and maximize the organization’s external positioning to support fundraising goals.
* **People Management:** Build a robust talent pipeline, manage and coach team members to ambitious outcomes, and drive engagement, growth, and retention within the team.
**Qualifications:**
**Minimum:**
* Graduate/Postgraduate in any field
* 3+ years of relevant work experience in client-facing roles (business development or fundraising)
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong project management skills (experience managing multiple complex projects)
* Commitment to excellence, accuracy, and attention to detail
**Preferred:**
* Previous experience working in the development/education sector
* Experience working with CXOs/Senior Management stakeholders
* Experience taking up entrepreneurial projects
