**Job Description:**

 

The Regional DEI Partner serves as a DEI Subject Matter Expert (SME) and thought partner, providing guidance, advisory support, and execution assistance to senior leadership, key partners, and functional teams in India and China.  This role focuses on continuously improving the Foundation’s DEI strategic framework within these regions.  The position requires proactive collaboration with senior leadership to ensure consistent messaging and accountability.  The successful candidate will be based in the Foundation’s India Country Office in New Delhi and report to the Director, DEI in Seattle.

 

**Responsibilities:**

 

* Serve as a DEI leader and SME, fostering an inclusive and equitable culture.

* Consult with and advise senior leadership and key partners on DEI implementation and progress against commitments.

* Provide subject matter expertise on all aspects of DEI from a global perspective.

* Partner with leadership and internal teams to integrate DEI principles into talent management and investment processes.

* Identify, recommend, and lead the adoption of effective equity-centered policies, initiatives, tools, and resources.

* Co-design and collaborate with stakeholders and the DEI Learning and Development team on initiatives.

* Lead external consultants in developing and deploying necessary resources.

* Maintain a strong understanding of global DEI issues and trends.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

 

 

**Experience Required:**

 

* A degree in a relevant field.

* At least 10 years of experience in DEI or a related field in a senior role.

* Proven experience designing, implementing, and monitoring DEI tools, processes, learning agendas, and indicators that align with organizational strategies and drive meaningful impact.

* Experience facilitating staff and manager training, dialogue sessions, and staff engagement initiatives.

* Ability to build trusted relationships with leaders and employees at all levels to influence behavior change.

* Strong critical thinking, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.

* Ability to connect DEI to organizational goals.

* Demonstrated ability to manage a significant workload and drive complex projects to completion.

* Skill in analyzing and synthesizing quantitative and qualitative data.

* Understanding of and ability to influence the design of operational processes (e.g., talent management, grant making).

* Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, collaborative environment.

* Excellent interpersonal skills, diplomacy, and the ability to work effectively with diverse individuals.

* Strong communication and change management skills.

* Ability to apply DEI expertise across multiple geographies and cultural contexts.

* Ability to travel up to 30% domestically and internationally.

* Legal authorization to work in India without visa sponsorship.
