Who are we looking for?

WOTR is on the lookout for a Regional Manager to oversee WOTR’s operations in the region which includes Rayagada, Gajapati and Ganjam districts.

As Regional Manager you will:

  • Engage in Strategy and Planning: Your role will involve the development and implementation of strategic plans for the region that align with our organization’s overarching mission and vision.
  • Handle Budgeting and Financial Management: This involves developing and overseeing budgets for the region, assuring financial sustainability and maintaining compliance with donor requirements.
  • Oversee Program Implementation: You’ll be responsible for the implementation of programs and projects within the region, ensuring they meet their goals and have meaningful impact.
  • Foster Partnership Development: Your task will be to identify and foster relationships with relevant stakeholders such as local governments, communities, and other NGOs, amplifying our organization’s effectiveness and impact.
  • Conduct Team Management: Your role will involve recruiting, managing, and motivating the regional staff, ensuring they possess the necessary skills and resources to carry out their roles efficiently.
  • Implement Monitoring and Evaluation: You’ll develop and put into action monitoring and evaluation systems to track progress and ensure accountability for program and project outcomes.
  • Be in charge of Reporting: You’ll prepare and present reports on the region’s activities and impact to key stakeholders, which include donors, the head office, and other parties of interest.
  • Undertake Fundraising and Resource Mobilization: Your role will involve identifying and pursuing fundraising opportunities to bolster our organization’s work within the region.
  • Handle Proposal Design and Writing: You’ll identify new developmental areas in the region, design interventions and outcomes, and write proposals for donors. Familiarity with logframe analysis is mandatory.
  • Employ relevant technologies: Day-to-day management will involve the utilization of various MS software tools, management techniques, and other agri-related technologies.

  • Outstanding Organizational, Communication, and Leadership Skills: This role requires excellent ability to organize, articulate thoughts and ideas clearly, and lead effectively.
  • Experience in Managing Development Programs and Projects: You should have previous experience managing integrated development programs and projects.
  • Expertise in Partnership Development and Fundraising: Prior experience in partnership development and fundraising is crucial for this position.
  • Fluency in English and Hindi: The role requires excellent spoken and written proficiency in both English and Hindi. Knowing Odiya will be an advantage
  • A Degree or Post-graduation in Relevant Fields: You should hold a degree or postgraduate qualification in a relevant field such as agriculture, engineering, social sciences, rural development, or business administration.
  • At least 7 Years of Relevant Work Experience: We typically require our candidates to have at least 7 years of relevant work experience in related fields.
