**Job Summary:**
The Centre for Budget and Policy Studies (CBPS) seeks a Research Advisor to lead projects on public finance and related areas. This role involves conceptualizing new research projects, conducting research analysis, writing reports and publications, and representing the organization externally. The successful candidate will also contribute to capacity building within the organization.
**Responsibilities:**
* Lead projects related to public finance and public policy, coordinating teams and managing timelines.
* Act as a subject matter expert in public finance, staying current on research and best practices.
* Contribute to the conception and execution of interdisciplinary projects in economic and social policy.
* Collaborate with other organizations for research and advocacy.
* Develop and submit research proposals to funders.
* Identify capacity building needs and develop training modules for researchers.
* Contribute to organizational policy development and administration.
**Qualifications:**
* PhD in Economics or a related field with a focus on public finance/public policy.
* 7-10 years of experience in research, with a strong preference for candidates with experience in budget analysis and fiscal issues.
* Robust knowledge of econometric research methods and proficiency in software such as STATA and R.
* Excellent writing and communication skills.
* Proficiency in software tools like STATA, R, Excel, and MS Office.
* Ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams.
* Excellent management and organizational skills.
