**Job Description:**
The CEEW’s sustainable water programme informs policy-making for the sustainable development of water resources. We are seeking a Research Analyst to support the programme, focusing on policy coherence and themes at the water-energy-food nexus (e.g., micro-irrigation, inclusive governance).
**Responsibilities:**
* **Research:** Conduct qualitative and quantitative research on water governance, policy coherence, the water-energy-food nexus, agricultural water management (including micro-irrigation), water footprint, and water productivity analysis. This includes literature reviews, data analysis, stakeholder consultations, and field research. Prepare reports, publications, and other knowledge products. Track government policies and their implementation.
* **Project/Programme Assistance:** Assist senior researchers in project conceptualization, proposal development, and securing funding. Contribute to project implementation, including preparing presentations and communication materials. Support outreach efforts by coordinating with the outreach team and engaging stakeholders. Participate in conferences and workshops. Assist senior team members in meetings and follow-up tasks. Participate in weekly team meetings and assist with minutes.
**Qualifications:**
* Master’s degree in Environmental Studies, Natural Resource Management, Water Resources Management, Agricultural Sciences, or a related field.
* Strong analytical skills and prior experience working with qualitative and basic quantitative data analysis.
**Desirable Qualifications:**
* Relevant publications in peer-reviewed journals or book chapters.
* Experience in policy research projects focused on water.
* Experience engaging with government officials, farmers, and researchers.
* Proficiency in MS Office Suite and statistical tools (STATA, R Studio, or Python).
* Excellent presentation and communication skills.
