**Job Description: Research Associate – Detection & Monitoring (NAMASTE Programme)**

**Programme Overview:**
The Neurodevelopment and AutisM in South ASia Treatment and Evidence (NAMASTE) programme aims to design a universal health coverage pathway for children with Autism through research, training, and capacity building across India, Sri Lanka, and Nepal. Sangath collaborates with the University of Manchester and the World Health Organization on this initiative.
**Role Overview:**
The Research Associate will manage research activities, including training Anganwadi workers, supporting data collection, and developing documentation in English and Hindi. The role involves collaboration with community partners and participation in programme meetings and academic activities.
**Key Responsibilities:**
– Deliver and support training for Anganwadi workers.
– Provide supportive supervision to workers.
– Translate tools and documents into English and Hindi.
– Draft programme reports under supervision.
– Ensure smooth functioning of data collection and analysis at the study site.
– Support implementation of detection and monitoring activities.
– Participate in joint programme activities, meetings, and academic events.
– Report to Programme Coordinator and maintain regular communication with team members.
**Qualifications & Experience:**
– **Essential:** Bachelor’s degree in Humanities/Social Work/Economics/Statistics/Health or related fields. Minimum 2 years of research experience. Fluency in English and Hindi (verbal and written). Proficiency in digital tools, MS Office (with strong Excel skills), internet, Outlook, and email. Excellent interpersonal and documentation skills.
– **Desirable:** Experience in qualitative and quantitative data collection and management. Knowledge of mental health research. Experience working with Autism Spectrum Disorders or neurodevelopmental disorders.
**Tenure:** 24 months (renewable annually based on performance).
**Remuneration:** ₹3.6 – 4.32 LPA, plus benefits including EPF, health insurance, and gratuity as per organizational policy.
