**Job Description: Research Associate – West Bengal**

**Job Location:**  

West Bengal, Kolkata

**Experience Required:**  

– 3 years or more of work experience in the informal economy or similar sectors.  

– Experience working with women is preferred.

**Company Information:**  

SEWA Bharat is a non-profit organization established in 1984, part of the national SEWA movement. It empowers women working in the informal economy through research and statistical analysis to address their rights, livelihoods, financial independence, education, health, and social security.

**Job Description:**  

The ideal candidate will design pilots, oversee field monitoring, support internal and external teams, conduct data analysis using STATA, draft reports, develop survey instruments, manage timelines and budgets, and travel extensively across West Bengal and Jharkhand to support research activities. Strong communication skills in English, Hindi, and Bengali are essential.

**Qualifications:**  

– Postgraduate degree in Social Sciences, Economics, or a related field with research experience.  

– Proficiency in quantitative methods using STATA.  

– Strong communication skills in English, Hindi, and Bengali (written and oral).

**Work Requirements:**  

– Frequent travel to various districts in West Bengal and Jharkhand.  

– Teamwork and time management for multiple tasks.

**Additional Information:**  

– Salary: Rs 55,000-60,000/monthly, negotiable based on experience.
