PxD uses randomized controlled trials to test interventions, ensuring evidence-based approaches to improve incomes, environmental sustainability, and well-being.
**Role Summary:**
PxD seeks a Research Manager to lead a new research project on crowdsourcing information among smallholder farmers in India. The role involves managing research activities, collaborating with researchers, and contributing to the development of innovative ideas through rigorous methods.
**Key Responsibilities:**
– Manage research implementation, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and standards.
– Oversee financial and human resources for the project.
– Guide teams on evidence-based approaches and supervise field activities.
– Manage data collection, analysis, and documentation.
– Work with external stakeholders and ensure compliance with IRB protocols.
– Mentor staff and contribute to internal and external communications.
**Qualifications:**
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in economics, agricultural economics, public policy, or a related field.
– Experience managing large projects involving rigorous research in LMIC countries.
– Proficiency in Stata/R for data analysis and familiarity with SurveyCTO/ODK.
– Strong understanding of randomized evaluations and research ethics.
– Excellent communication skills and willingness to travel.
