Job Title: Sales & Marketing Manager, Bolbhav Project

Location: Remote with periodic travel across Madhya Pradesh (MP)

Compensation: 20 – 24 LPA

Start Date: Immediate

Job Overview:

Gramhal is a tech non-profit on a mission to end information asymmetry and improve livelihoods of 50 million rural households in India by 2030. Bolbhav is our flagship product, where we are collecting and disseminating real-time mandi price information. As our Sales & Marketing Manager, you will lead the charge in driving subscriptions by promoting Bolbhav among our primary users: the farmers. Your challenge? To create a scalable marketing and sales framework tailored for new mandis, merging both digital and on-ground strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute a holistic marketing strategy, blending both digital and physical realms, to effectively reach and resonate with farmers.
  • Spearhead product-led growth initiatives, ensuring Bolbhav’s features and benefits drive its own adoption and user advocacy.
  • Test and iterate on various marketing and sales channels, constantly fine-tuning approaches based on real-world feedback.
  • Develop a replicable sales and marketing blueprint for new mandis, ensuring seamless expansion even in previously uncharted territories.
  • Collaborate closely with the Operations and Product teams to gather insights and tailor marketing efforts accordingly.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret sales and marketing analytics to make informed decisions and optimize ROI.
  • Train and mentor future sales and marketing teams, ensuring uniformity in strategy execution across locations.

Requirements

  • A formal degree in Sales and Marketing isn’t a prerequisite, but an eagerness to learn and employ best practices is.
  • Proven experience in sales and marketing, preferably within the agricultural sector or in rural Indian context requiring a blend of digital and grassroots strategies.
  • Deep understanding of the Indian agricultural sector, especially mandis. Those lacking this experience must commit to spending their initial month on-site in a mandi.
  • Strong grasp over product-led growth strategies and techniques, especially in context of rural India.
  • Proficient in using analytics tools to derive actionable insights from data.
  • Demonstrated ability in crafting and executing successful marketing campaigns across various channels.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset, paired with the adaptability to thrive in evolving environments.
