**Job Title:** Security Specialist
**Job Location:** New Delhi, India (with potential relocation to another South Asia duty station)

**Experience Required:**
* A master’s degree (in foreign area studies, international relations, political science, national security studies, or security policy studies) plus five years of experience. A bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of relevant analytical experience may be considered in lieu of a master’s degree.
**Responsibilities:**
* Continuously monitor and report on security developments affecting World Bank Group (WBG) staff, assets, and operations in South Asia.
* Conduct threat and risk assessments for WBG operations, executive travel, conferences, and special events.
* Manage the Security Risk Report (SRR) clearance process for assigned countries.
* Develop and recommend countermeasures to mitigate identified risks.
* Generate Security Briefing Notes (SBNs) to address specific events and trends.
* Provide ad hoc analysis for Country Offices, Regional Management, and other internal WBG clients.
* Collaborate with field-based Security Specialists, Regional Senior Security Specialist, and Subject Matter Experts.
* Liaise with the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) during crisis events.
* Brief Crisis Management Teams (CMTs) on security-related developments.
* Maintain subject matter expertise on regional security dynamics through research and networking.
* Develop and maintain a robust security information network.
* Provide written and oral security briefings to senior management.
* Perform other duties as assigned. This is a full-time position with on-call emergency responsibilities.
**Selection Criteria:**
* Master’s degree (preferred fields listed above) or equivalent experience.
* Proficiency in common office computer programs.
* Fluency in English (oral and written).
* Proficiency in a second language is highly desirable.
* Ability to use structured analytic techniques.
* Knowledge of World Bank Group regional operations.
* Strong communication skills (oral and written).
* Demonstrated competencies in client orientation, drive for results, collaboration, knowledge sharing, and analytical decision-making.
