Job Description

The position will function under the direct supervision of Senior Manager,  Health Nutrition and WaSH and will be responsible for identifying suitable CVs, formatting identified CVs and provide all other backup support in submitting a proposal/EoI, and support in Project Management activities.

Project Management activities

·         Support the Senior Manager and other team members in developing project reports, and presentations

·         Assist in background research in writing Thought Leadership and White papers and develop concept notes

Submission of Proposals / EoIs

·         Track business development opportunities coming up in the sector

·         Coordinate expression of interest documents and full proposals

·         Develop background materials and drafts of technical proposals

·         Prepare correspondence and briefing materials for meetings and events

·         Support in fulfilling BD team responsibilities including day to day operational details

CV and consortium development

·         Support manager to contact potential consultants for each assignment, collect CVs and develop a CV roster in the approved format

·         Support the Senior Manager in developing network and relationships with other consultancy firms, institutions, NGOs, and individuals working in the sectors

The role has potential to evolve into a bigger role with more responsibilities subject to performance review and functions as a member of the team and provide required support in initiating new projects.

Qualifications & Experience

·         Graduate / Postgraduate in public health/ Management/ population education and demography, research/statistics or related fields

·         3-4 years’ experience in health sector, preferably in business development areas

·         Degree/postgraduates from reputed institutes will be preferred

·         Demonstrable interest and/or experience of working in the international development sector

·         Excellent communication skills: able to clearly communicate complex information

·         Strong organisational skills

·         Excellent research skills

·         Ability to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines

·         Open to working in multi-cultural environment and effectively in small and large teams

Desirables

·         Experience of working in health sector consultancy

·         Experience of proposal writing and knowledge of the business development cycle both for international agencies as well as government clients

·         Experience of working in the field, in areas such as programme management, evaluation, conducting stakeholder consultations, designing projects, etc.
