**Job Summary:**
The Fundraising Operations team seeks an experienced Senior Data Analyst to support data-driven decision-making and improve the effectiveness of our fundraising strategies. This role will involve collaborating with fundraising teams, providing insights on global campaigns, developing key performance indicators, and contributing to revenue forecasting. The ideal candidate will be highly proficient in SQL, possess strong statistical expertise, and have experience with data visualization and predictive modeling.
**Responsibilities:**
* Deliver actionable insights and analysis on global fundraising campaigns and strategic objectives to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Collaborate with fundraising leadership to develop and track key performance indicators across various fundraising channels.
* Partner with colleagues in fundraising and finance to develop multi-year revenue forecasting models.
* Provide reporting, statistical analysis, and guidance on test setup within our A/B testing program.
* Transform and clean data to improve accessibility and speed of analysis.
* Peer review teammates’ work to ensure data quality and reliability.
**Examples of work:**
* Strategizing A/B tests to optimize online fundraising outcomes and donor experience.
* Updating donor history tables with email interactions to provide a complete donor journey view.
* Building and maintaining donor propensity models to drive revenue.
* Deriving key metrics for Wikimedia Foundation’s annual report.
* Designing visualizations for the fundraising team’s monthly progress on OKRs.
* Building donor segments in a reverse-ETL tool.
**Required Skills and Experience:**
* Highly proficient in SQL for data transformation and querying.
* Skilled in developing data visualizations using a business intelligence platform (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Metabase).
* Practical statistical expertise and understanding of digital campaigns.
* Experience with data-related Python and/or R packages for ad hoc analysis.
* Experience using predictive modeling to answer business questions.
* Comfortable with code reviews using Git.
* Ability to clearly document work for teammates and stakeholders.
* Ability to efficiently troubleshoot SQL queries and pipelines.
* Ability to accurately estimate work and communicate obstacles.
* Proactive in seeking support when needed.
* Growth mindset and willingness to experiment with new tools and methods.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

**Compensation:**
The anticipated annual pay range for applicants based within the United States is US$102,437 to US$161,869. For applicants located outside of the US, the pay range will be adjusted to the country of hire. Salary will be based on skills, experience, and location. We do not consider salary history in our hiring process.
