We implement a range of programs, including pre-school and elementary education, initiatives for dropout girls and women, and vocational skilling programs for youth.

**Role Overview**

 

As Pratham continues to expand its reach and impact, we are seeking a passionate and skilled Senior Associate – Content to join our Communications team. This individual will play a crucial role in creating, organizing, and managing content across various channels, ensuring consistent messaging and a unified brand voice. 

 

**Responsibilities:**

 

* **Writing and Editing:** Develop original and engaging content for the website, social media, email newsletters, press releases, program documentation, and other communication materials. Craft compelling narratives that effectively communicate Pratham’s mission, vision, and values, while simplifying complex ideas for diverse audiences. 

* **Field Project Coverage:**  Document field projects by writing and editing reports/blogs, capturing photos and creating photo blogs, and conceptualizing, scripting, shooting, and editing short videos.

* **Editorial Planning:** Collaborate with the Communications team to develop and execute a content calendar aligned with organizational objectives and key events. Ensure consistent brand voice and messaging across all communication channels.

* **Storytelling and Impact:** Identify and gather compelling stories and testimonials from beneficiaries, volunteers, and donors to showcase the impact of Pratham’s work. Create powerful stories that resonate with our audience and inspire them to support our cause.

* **Collaboration and Coordination:** Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure content alignment with overall communication strategies. Collaborate with graphic designers, videographers, and other content creators to develop multimedia content.

 

**Qualifications and Experience:**

 

* Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Social Studies, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.

* 3-5 years of work experience as a Content Specialist or similar role, preferably in the non-profit sector.

* Exceptional writing and editing skills with a proven ability to create engaging content that drives conversation and action.

* Demonstrated understanding of various social media platforms, their unique audiences, and best practices for each.

* Creative mindset and experience in visual content creation using tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Mailchimp, Photoshop, or similar software.

* Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple projects and deadlines.

* A genuine passion for the non-profit sector and a commitment to making a positive impact on the community and the world.

* Strong understanding of various communication channels and how to tailor content for different audiences.

* Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines while maintaining the highest level of quality.

* Willingness and ability to travel frequently across India to visit local programs.
