The India Climate Collaborative (ICC) is a non-profit organization established in 2020 with a mission to catalyze funding towards climate change in India. Founded by leading corporate and philanthropic figures like Rohini Nilekani, Ratan Tata, and Anand Mahindra, the ICC supports Indian philanthropists in scaling corporate and family philanthropy for climate impact. We unlock philanthropic capital, identify key climate priorities, and build connective infrastructure to support our mission.
**About Earth Exponential**
Earth Exponential (EE) is an ICC initiative that connects funders to impactful, scalable, and verified climate solutions implemented by non-profit organizations across India. EE aims to increase grant capital flowing to climate action in India, raise awareness of climate solutions within the domestic donor community, and empower private and corporate philanthropy (CSR) to effectively engage with climate action.
**About the Role**
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced **Senior Associate – Engagement** to join our growing team and play a critical role in achieving the ICC’s mission. This position focuses on corporate philanthropy and will serve as the backbone of Earth Exponential’s donor engagement strategy.
**Responsibilities:**
* Develop and execute innovative engagement strategies to inspire donors, primarily CSR, to support climate solutions featured on Earth Exponential through outreach, newsletters, event programming, and other channels.
* Provide bespoke support and advisory to funders on leveraging EE and finding solutions aligned with their priorities. This includes making recommendations and facilitating introductions.
* Identify and build a database of potential funders for targeted outreach to EE.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create compelling briefing materials, pitch decks, and resources for funders at various levels of climate awareness.
* Gather feedback from funders and make recommendations to enhance the EE platform.
* Identify and manage strategic partnerships with CSRs to increase grant capital for climate solutions.
* Track engagements with individual funders and analyze both direct and indirect funding flows through the EE platform.
* Manage institutional donor(s) for Earth Exponential, including proposal writing and timely submission.
* Assist with supporting documentation, such as budgets, monitoring & evaluation reports, and other materials required by donors.
* Track timelines and submission dates for interim and final grant reports.
* Collaborate with team members across different departments to gather necessary information.
* Input all relevant data and manage it within Salesforce to ensure ICC effectively tracks donor engagement.
* Create presentations and talking points for meetings.
* Draft memos, pre-reads, and meeting minutes.
* Work with the communications team to curate convenings, events, website content, and social media posts.
**Requirements:**
* Bachelor’s degree with 5-6 years of relevant work experience in a donor-facing role.
* Demonstrated interest in and understanding of the Indian climate and non-profit sectors.
* Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Strong interpersonal skills and proven experience managing external stakeholders.
* Ability to process information from multiple sources and present it in a clear and concise manner.
* Keen attention to detail.
* Ability to think strategically and creatively, meet tight deadlines, and work independently.
* Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines.
