**Key Responsibilities:**
– Lead the planning and execution of Room to Read’s Literacy program in assigned schools, ensuring adherence to guidelines and quality implementation.
– Oversee teacher training and capacity building initiatives at the state level, providing technical support and advocacy for literacy programs.
– Monitor program budgets, financial norms, and procurement processes while maintaining high data quality and reporting standards.
– Conduct regular school visits, identify issues, and provide solutions in collaboration with the country office.
– Represent Room to Read in government meetings and forums, advocating for policies that support literacy initiatives.
– Manage relationships with schools, communities, and government counterparts, addressing any arising issues.
**Qualifications:**
– Bachelor’s degree in education or social sciences; Master’s preferred.
– Proven track record of working in the education sector, particularly in language and reading practices.
– Strong communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
– Experience working with schools, teachers, and government officials in rural areas.
– Ability to travel frequently to remote project sites.
