General Communications:
• Stay connected to teams about local and regional media opportunities, events, content development, conferences and award programs, special campaigns, and other important comms initiatives to ensure our efforts are cohesive and representative of the diverse happenings across the org.
• Attend various team meetings and key events.
• Travel to Noora Health hubs in Dhaka, Bangladesh and Jakarta, Indonesia as needed.
Media, Regional:
• Develop and lead India-specific media strategy; build framework for and manage country-specific media efforts in Bangladesh, Indonesia, and future expansion countries.
• Lead local and regional media opportunities, including nurturing relationships with publications and journalists, developing and managing a media contact database, managing media prep and interviews, organizing and staffing team interviews, gathering required consents for facility visits, supporting fact-checking, and more.
• Support the development and distribution of press releases.
• Support promotion activities related to regional media coverage.
Digital Marketing Support:
Website:
• Quarterly web updating:
Support updating website copy following quarterly and annual report publication.
• Manage updating and monitoring our blog, “The Companion”; work with editorial team to regularly add new blog posts to website per their guidance; develop standards for this process; provide insights and recommendations on blog performance and how to optimize.
Email Marketing:
• Lead creation and optimization, copyediting, and deployment process of all email newsletters through Mailchimp.
• Support strategic plan for recurring newsletter.
• Manage Mailchimp listservs, adhering to GDPR best practices.
• Manage general listserv maintenance; liaise with development team to ensure high-touch contact list is up-to-date.
Editorial Support:
• Act as thought partner to our editor, helping keep the editorial content calendar updated and thriving. • Support editorial efforts for our blog, “The Companion”, including writing and sourcing ideas for blog posts, managing feedback loops with teammates and stakeholders, and securing photos and consents for blog posts.
• Integrate into established impact report processes and support with content development and securing photos and captions for reports (quarterly and annual).
Regional social media support:
• Act as thought partner to our Social Media Manager, helping to keep social media calendar aligned with regional program and team developments and milestones.
• Source stories and materials for social media posts, including liaising with teammates and other stakeholders, securing consent where needed, and sourcing photos and visuals for social media use. Regional Conferences, Speaking Engagements, Awards, and Events:
Regional Conferences:
• Develop a regional strategy; identify relevant conferences we should attend.
• Stay in-the-know about teammate speaking engagements by the creation of a conference/speaking engagement ‘tracker;’ connect external communications efforts/social media accordingly.
Awards:
• Identify and create guidance for priority award programs.
• Lead entry efforts accordingly, including liaising with respective internal teams, and internal promotion and comms.
Events:
• Develop a strategy around Noora Health hosted convenings regionally and locally; develop and manage invite lists; develop event themes and content.
In-Office Brand Champion:
• Support teams in understanding and incorporating brand standards into content and design work across program areas.
• Act as a thought partner to Visual Design Lead and our film team; help manage feedback loops and approval.
• Stay up-to-date on design projects to ensure brand integrity.
• Support country teams with preparing documents/advocacy materials (such as talking points, etc), research manuscripts, government briefs, pitch decks, funder proposals, etc
. WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
• 7+ years of strong generalist communications experience, preferably supporting social impact organizations globally or in South Asia.
• Stellar communication and writing skills (English); proficiency in Hindi or other Indian languages a plus.
• Expectation of working from our Bangalore office at least three (3) days a week.
• Experience and comfort working independently across time zones, including the United States.
• A trusted project manager who thrives working independently and who can own multiple work streams with grace and professionalism.
• A polished, professional representative of Noora Health’s brand and mission at in-person events alongside journalists, stakeholders, and cross-functional teammates.
