**Job Title:** Senior Communications Officer

The program operates across Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, and Telangana, employing a multi-faceted approach involving field implementation, research, capacity building, policy advocacy, and collaboration with diverse partners.

**Experience Required:** 3-4 years of experience in a communications role, preferably within the media or non-profit sector.
**Job Description:**
The Senior Communications Officer will be a key member of the Central India Landscape (CIL) team, responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive communication strategy. This role requires a creative storyteller capable of translating complex technical information into engaging content for diverse audiences. Key responsibilities include:
* **Creative Content Development:** Creating compelling content for various platforms, including social media, websites, brochures, newsletters, and press releases. This includes authoring/co-authoring articles, features, stories, op-eds, case studies, and success stories showcasing CIL’s work and impact.
* **Coordination, Review, and Capacity Building:** Developing and managing a communication plan; reviewing and editing all communication materials produced by the team; building team members’ communication skills through training and mentorship; coordinating with internal teams, media outlets, and donors; and maintaining and developing local media relationships.
* **Event Support:** Supporting the team in the execution of events and campaign activities.
**Requirements:**
* Master’s degree in Mass Communications, Journalism, or Public Relations.
* Exceptional oral and written communication skills in English and Hindi. Marathi and Telugu are advantageous.
* Ability to create content for various media (written, audio-visual, interactive) and adapt content for different stakeholders.
* Proactive, self-motivated, and able to identify communication opportunities and take initiative.
* Ability to meet tight deadlines.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to support the communication needs of the team.
* Knowledge of design software (Corel Draw, Adobe Illustrator/InDesign, Adobe Photoshop) is a plus.
**Remuneration:** Competitive with Indian NGO pay scales, depending on experience and WWF-India’s salary structure. WWF-India does not provide housing, telephone, or vehicle facilities.
