**About the Partnership for Healthy Cities (PHC):**

 

PHC, supported by Bloomberg Philanthropies, the World Health Organization (WHO), and Vital Strategies, is a global network of cities committed to preventing non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and injuries.

 

**Job Purpose:**

 

The Senior Manager will project manage select cities in the Asia-Pacific region within the PHC initiative.  Responsibilities include managing stakeholder relationships, facilitating technical assistance, providing project management direction, monitoring progress, and reporting on accomplishments.

 

**Duties and Responsibilities:**

 

* **Project Management:** Work with city governments (8-10 cities) to implement NCD/injury prevention interventions; provide technical assistance; support development of project goals, budgets, and timelines; monitor progress; troubleshoot bottlenecks.

* **Technical Assistance:** Coordinate technical assistance with team members; facilitate stakeholder meetings and presentations; manage regional workshops, webinars, and network activities.

* **Operations:** Assist with contract development and management of subgrantees and vendors; supervise city-based consultants; process information requests.

* **Communications:** Collaborate with the communications team to identify publicity opportunities.

* **Other:** Assist with other Vital Strategies initiatives as needed.

 

 

**Qualifications:**

 

* **Education:** Master’s degree in public health, public policy, public administration, or a relevant field.

* **Skills:** Fluency in English; understanding of public health and policy interventions (NCDs and injury prevention); understanding of government structures; strong project management skills; strong communication (written and verbal); excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite); ability to work in cross-cultural teams; excellent organizational skills; ability to travel internationally (up to 20%).

**Experience:**

 

* **Required:** Minimum 8 years of progressive professional experience in public policy, urban health, or public health; experience leading complex international public health programs/projects; minimum 4 years of experience leading full project management life cycles (including budget management).

* **Preferred:** Experience working with global teams in multiple time zones; experience working remotely; experience managing public/private partnerships; demonstrated representational experience.

 

**Working Conditions:**

 

International travel up to 20% is required.  The candidate must be willing and able to work across different time zones.

 

**Salary:** INR 22,40,000 to INR 32,00,000.  Benefits include a strong retirement plan, flexible basket reimbursement, comprehensive healthcare, and paid leave.
