**Job Description**
**Position:** Senior Manager Climate Resilience
**Company:** Plan India
**Location:** Delhi
**Experience Required:** Minimum of 8-10 years in developing and implementing environmental education programs or similar educational initiatives with school children.
**Key Responsibilities:**
– Lead the delivery of a long-term strategy focused on Reckitt’s and PLAN’s commitment to climate resilience.
– Counsel cross-functional partners on communication considerations related to project changes and updates.
– Distil complex policy concepts into plain language for press, policymakers, and the general public.
– Update communications and advocacy tools to meet Plan network, Reckitt guidelines, program objectives, and standards.
– Write/publish news releases in newsletters, email newsletters, or website.
– Disseminate success stories through documentation and field story narration in annual reports.
– Identify capacity-building requirements for the State implementation team and facilitate tailor-made sessions.
– Utilize research to guide program development and influence policy decisions.
– Stay informed about trends in climate resilience, public health, and educational outreach.
– Respect cultural diversity and tailor strategies to unique community contexts.
– Advocate for policies supporting program initiatives at local, national, and international levels.
– Support the rollout of climate resilience mainstreaming in ongoing and forthcoming projects.
**Qualifications:**
– Master’s degree in Environmental studies, Ecology, Wildlife Science, or PhD.
– Proven experience in environmental education programs with school children.
– Familiarity with local and global environmental challenges.
– Ability to design age-appropriate and interactive educational materials using experiential learning methods.
– Excellent communication and presentation skills.
