## Senior Manager – Green Economy

We are seeking a **Senior Manager – Green Economy** to join our team in **New Delhi**. This role will report directly to the Team Lead, Policy Research and Planning Domain, and will be responsible for the overall programmatic development across research and analysis, policy advocacy, capacity building, and knowledge management in the green economy, inclusive entrepreneurship, and climate financing space.

 

**Responsibilities:**

 

**Programmatic Leadership:**

 

* Develop and implement programs focused on green economy, green entrepreneurship, community and women-led enterprises, sustainable/blended/micro-financing, etc., at the subnational and national levels.

* Manage program execution, including financial, contractual, and team management to ensure timely and effective project delivery.

* Drive business development and resource mobilization, including partnerships, to build long-term sustainability and scale for the program.

* Manage client communication and foster inter- and intra-domain synergies within DA.

 

**Technical Leadership:**

 

* Conceptualize new policy research ideas and oversee the development of tools/frameworks and knowledge products aligned with programmatic priorities.

* Identify, scope, and design policy and regulatory recommendations for a wide array of actors (governments, financial institutions, regulatory bodies, private investors, etc.) for industrial decarbonization, financing climate adaptation, green entrepreneurship, skill development, and other similar themes at sub-national, national, and international levels.

* Position DA as a knowledge expert on the aforementioned thematics through publishing editorials, blog articles, and other knowledge pieces relevant to the practice.

 

**Network and Positioning:**

 

* Lead a team of researchers and field resources to build and manage relationships with State Government Departments, Directorate of Industries, State Level Bankers’ Committee (SLBC), NABARD Regional Office, and other financial and non-financial stakeholders on behalf of DA.

* Manage networks, build consortiums, and develop long-term, impact-driven partnerships with like-minded private and public sector entities at various levels.

* Position DA’s work at national and international platforms.

 

**Qualifications:**

 

* Minimum 8-10 years (with a Master’s degree) or 10-12 years (with a Bachelor’s degree) of experience in developing and managing programs focused on green economy, enterprise development, and livelihood security interventions.

* Demonstrated experience developing and managing effective partnerships with government and civil society networks at subnational and national levels is essential. Experience of deputation with relevant Ministries and/or State Government for green economy/enterprise development/climate finance work will be considered an advantage.

* Demonstrated experience leading collaborations with SIDBI/NABARD, industry chambers, State Rural Livelihoods Missions (SRLMs), State Level Bankers’ Committee (SLBC), local public and private financial institutions, and other stakeholders for policy and financial support to women-led enterprises, SHGs, green entrepreneurs, etc. Experience working with social impact investors or incubators for green technology solutions and climate financing would also be considered.

* Experience in resource mobilization and project management, including financial planning and donor reporting is essential.

 

**Skills & Competencies:**

 

* Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.

* Enhanced understanding of green economy programs, frameworks, and regulations for climate financing at the state and national level.

* Excellent research and documentation/report writing skills; working knowledge of data visualization is an added advantage.

* Outstanding communication and networking abilities.

* Good working knowledge of MS Office (Knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and online tools for collaboration.

* Working proficiency in English and Hindi language.

* Willingness to travel as per project demands.
