Development Alternatives Group has been promoting ‘inclusive entrepreneurship’ a phenomenon that is characterized by systemic change that enables under-represented groups such as youth and women to access entrepreneurship opportunities, thereby leading to social inclusion, quality employment, and sustainable economic growth. In the pursuit of the above, our programs leverage social innovation tools to unleash entrepreneurial energies in women & youth and build positive ecosystems.

The Senior Manager will be responsible for leading the women entrepreneurship area, where they will be specifically involved in the following deliverables and will be responsible for conceptualizing and formulating strategic initiatives and projects that further the vision and mission. The individual will also lead and manage operations and track various initiatives and help position. Responsible for management of systems to assess, plan, monitor and track pilots, new modules, and research:

Project and operations management with partners

  • Design program delivery mechanisms and support communication to the client.
  • Communication and coordination with field activities for ensuring smooth delivery.

Innovation of tools, process for delivery of enterprise support and prototypes

  • Build new tools and processes, specifically those that improve enterprise support services and building the entrepreneurial ecosystem for women.
  • Support the co-creation of new prototypes that enable shaping of the ecosystem at the district level and build convergence with existing infrastructure including local institutions.
  • Enhance women driven enterprise support services.
  • Collaborating initiatives with partners.

Strengthen and scale existing prototypes

  • Support and enhance existing systemic prototypes that build women entrepreneurship like micro credit facility, brave spaces.
  • Documentation of the learning to shape strategy for taking the prototypes forward including system mapping.
  • Support conceptualization of scale out strategy of the systemic and enterprise prototypes.

Knowledge development and transference

  • Package the processes, knowledge and learning in forms of process manuals, toolkits, technical reports and narratives for external transference
  • Be responsible for secondary and field research, developing new social innovation methods and incorporate learning into knowledge products and Communication

DESIRABLE QUALITIES:

  • Strategic thinker with problem solving skills to help drive the social Innovation based activities and objectives.
  • Good understanding of social diversity.
  • Excellent Communication skills required (both written and verbal).
  • Experience in high quality research and working in the Livelihoods/enterprise and development field.
