**Job Description:**

Swaniti Initiative seeks a Senior Manager for its Just Transition program. This role will lead initiatives facilitating equitable and inclusive transitions to a sustainable, low-carbon economy.  The successful candidate will collaborate with governments, industries, parliamentarians, labor organizations, and communities to ensure economic, social, and environmental justice in transition efforts.

**Responsibilities:**

* **Research and Technical Expertise:**  Finalize and execute research projects guiding policies; coordinate with stakeholders; propose new research ideas; conduct desk reviews and primary research; provide technical review of project outputs; analyze policies, programs, legislations, and environmental governance frameworks.

* **Program Design and Management:** Develop, implement, and oversee programs promoting just transition principles; monitor and manage program budgets and administrative requirements; publish periodic program reviews.

* **Policy Advocacy:** Develop and execute engagement strategies based on program findings; build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers; represent the organization at events; organize meetings, events, and workshops.

* **Other:** Contribute to proposals, reports, and research briefs; support parliamentary work; collaborate with other organizational departments; manage team; draft contracts and manage vendor relationships; support other projects as needed.

**Essential Qualifications:**

* Advanced university degree (PhD/M.Phil or Master’s degree) in economics, public policy, or a related field.

* High-level knowledge of Just Transition Principles and related domestic and international ecosystems.

* Minimum 7 years of work experience for candidates with a Master’s degree; 3-4 years for candidates with a completed PhD.

* Advanced expertise in statistical tools and software, with strong data analysis and visualization skills.

* Prior experience working in the policy/governance/development sectors, with project management experience interfacing with government and decision-makers.

* Strong stakeholder management, analytical, strategic thinking, and data synthesis skills.

* Ability to manage multiple work streams simultaneously.

* Strong communication skills (written and verbal English).

* Team management and public speaking skills.

* Demonstrated experience in just transition, environmental governance, sustainability, and climate change.

* Publications in reputed journals (preferred).

* Knowledge of Air Quality (preferred).
