**Position:** Senior Officer, Literacy Field
**Location:** India – Bihar
**Experience Required:** Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in the education sector.

**Key Responsibilities:**
– Oversee program implementation and system strengthening at the state level.
– Coordinate, develop, and report on multiple variants of the Literacy program.
– Serve as the main point of contact for schools and local government officials.
– Manage relationships with school, community, and government counterparts.
– Ensure timely delivery of books, materials, and furniture to program schools.
– Lead teacher training and capacity-building activities.
– Prepare budgets, cash advances, settlements, and financial reports.
– Advocate for enabling policies and collaborate with government officials.
– Conduct literacy campaigns and engage in technical discussions with the country team.
– Monitor program implementation, track data, and ensure high-quality reporting.
**Qualifications:**
– Bachelor’s Degree in education or social sciences; Master’s preferred.
– In-depth knowledge of language and reading practices.
– Strong communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
– Proven track record of achieving results and working effectively with schools and communities.
– Ability to travel frequently to remote project sites.
