**Job Description: Senior Officer, Literacy Field**

 

**Location:** India – Bihar

**Position Overview:**  

The Senior Officer, Literacy Field will oversee program implementation and lead system strengthening at the state level. This role involves coordinating with school and government officials, managing staff, and ensuring timely execution of literacy programs in accordance with guidelines.

 

**Key Responsibilities:**

– **Program Management:** Oversee the implementation of literacy programs, including selecting schools and managing relationships with stakeholders.

– **Technical Expertise:** Stay updated on education policies, engage with government counterparts, and advocate for enabling policies.

– **Monitoring & Reporting:** Supervise program associates, ensure data quality, and prepare reports on programmatic and financial aspects.

 

**Qualifications:**

– Bachelor’s degree in education or social sciences; Master’s preferred.

– Minimum 5 years of experience in the education sector.

– Strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

– Proven track record in achieving results and working with schools and communities.
