The/Nudge is an action institute working towards a poverty-free India, within our lifetime. • Centre for Rural Development (CRD): enables rural families to come out of extreme poverty

About The/Nudge Social Entrepreneurship:

The/Nudge Social Entrepreneurship programs nurture a vibrant ecosystem for social entrepreneurs working on disruptive models promoting resilient livelihoods at scale.

The/Nudge Incubator is a catalyst for early-stage non-profit startups working on India’s livelihood challenges. With a grant of INR 15 lakhs, a network of world-class mentors, and connections to potential partners, the program runs for 9 months and is designed to help founders get their ideas in the best possible shape – ready to hire, fundraise and scale. 

The/Nudge Accelerator enables livelihoods focussed high potential non-profits to expedite their growth and build for impact and scale. Over a period of 12-24 months, founders have access to a grant of INR 50 lakhs in the first year and up to INR 150 lakhs in the second year along with an ecosystem of support and mentoring by partners to shape up their venture. 

We have graduated 9 cohorts of the incubator comprising 96 organizations and supported over 150 founders. We have graduated 3 cohorts of The/Nudge Accelerator comprising 16 organizations and our ongoing cohort has 8 organizations. We have disbursed over Rs. 37 crores in innovation grants and a high selectivity rate of <2.5%.  

An independent assessment of The/Nudge Incubator done by Sattva Consulting in 2022 stated the following: 

• The/Nudge provides structured support to the incubatees which is crucial for early-stage startups
• The/Nudge instills trust and credibility with their brand name which helps early-stage founders access networks
• The/Nudge has been part of creating an attitude shift in the mind of donors wrt to non-profits and the non-profit model at large
• The/Nudge provides a one-of-a-kind platform for non-profits to project their work through an established and far-reaching network 

At The/Nudge you will:

• create tailwinds for high potential impact-focused startups to achieve impact and scale through timely inputs on their business model and technology roadmap
• participate in all aspects of the program including outreach, selection, operations, mentoring by CSI Partners, and connecting entrepreneurs to the larger social ecosystem
• help design bootcamps and other interventions to develop the capacity of entrepreneurs and their leadership teams
• strategize and execute on the roadmap to make The/Nudge Incubator and The/Nudge Accelerator a powerful magnet for talent, capital, and innovation in the service of resilient livelihoods for all

Apply if you have:

• 10-12 years of work experience with a significant portion in the startup ecosystem, tech product management, equity research, or strategic consulting
• Experience as a founding or early team member of a tech startup. with expertise in managing a complete product lifecycle, a growth mindset and deep passion to apply your business skills towards social impact. 

Would be great if you have:

• prior experience in the social sector preferred including involvement in Incubation or Acceleration programs
• understanding of India’s livelihood sector (skill development, employability, entrepreneurship, rural development, gender and inclusion, emerging sectors)
