Position Overview:
Senior Program Manager, GEP will be Part of GEP team at Country Office level and responsible for providing technical support to State offices under the overall direction of Country Director. Has an overall understanding of the program including its objective, approach, historical evolution, strengths and can guide the state offices on Country priorities. S/he will be responsible for executing the vision of the Country Director at the Country level on GEP. This position requires skills in project management, evaluation and planning. Additionally the position holder may be required to input into life skill trainings or other thematic trainings and may deploy GEP staff to support such technical themes organized by the state offices. The position also needs to undertake budgeting, and supervising and builds capacities of team in GEP.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Program Implementation Support:
To implement GO design in India.
Support contextualize GO resources and guidelines as per local context.
Reviews program implementation on the ground in terms of impacts it makes.
Support and directs Program officers at the Country Office and State Office in tracking Implementation calendars
Map capacities and develop capacity of program team to implement at state level and country office level.
Identify case studies and best practices and builds a portfolio of successes and learning’s.
Undertakes and initiates and complies with Reporting as required.
Provide support for proposal writing and budgets.
Quality Programs:
Identify and flag/ report on matters of strategic importance basis Analysis of data trends, potential risks identified and deviations in design and ineffective /inconsistent processes at ground levels, review of documents, suggests optimum processes and initiates their implementation.
Initiates and work on Quality standards by preparing briefs, policy papers and share with PD .
Collates requests of technical mapping and organizes resources from State and CO as required to achieve quality outcomes
Develops TOR’s for action researches with RME/Programs audits and initiates processes.
lead work on specific projects (research, theme /component based) as initiated from time to time.
Annual work Plan and Budgeting processes:
Leads on AWPB processes, coordinates and follows up with the State offices on requirements as per Global office guidelines.
Facilitates review and consolidation of Quarter forecasting/for State Offices’ and Country Office.
Ensures transmission of Program Audit findings and follow ups to GEP staff at the State offices.
Initiates regular Program review of the GEP in the six states.
Networking:
Shares RTR’s stories/success at various forums, showcases RTR through participation at various education forums in country and outside, develops papers on RTR strategies as and when required for sharing
Represent organization at various platforms. Establish and manage relationships with other NGO’s, government officials to build visibility and brand recall for RTR.
Qualification:
Required:
Masters degree in the relevant field – Social sciences/ Development studies/Gender/Social Work.
10-18 years of relevant experience (preferred – experienced in developing, implementing and evaluating girls’ education program especially for underprivileged children).
Strong and proven records of planning, supervising, program development and program monitoring.
Good knowledge and understanding of education issues, including life skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi.
Proven track record of achieving results with High energy level with Superior interpersonal abilities with an Ability to get along with diverse personalities, tactful, mature, flexible.
