**About the Livelihoods Program:**

 

SELCO Foundation’s Livelihoods program integrates sustainable energy solutions into agriculture, microbusinesses, and animal husbandry.  With a goal of reaching 50,000 end-users in the next five years, the program provides rural entrepreneurs with solar energy units and related appliances.  This role focuses on establishing and managing the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) of these systems.

 

 

**Position Summary:**

 

The Senior Program Manager for O&M will oversee all post-installation activities, including operation and maintenance of solar systems and equipment, end-user training, vendor management, budgeting, and performance monitoring.  This role requires a highly motivated individual passionate about sustainable energy and its impact on low-income communities.

 

**Key Responsibilities:**

 

* Develop and implement O&M strategies across North East India, Odisha, and Karnataka, managing 50,000+ livelihood interventions.

* Provide guidance and support to the O&M team in planning, execution, and monitoring.

* Understand livelihood sectors and interventions to ensure successful post-implementation and utilization of solar-powered solutions.

* Coordinate all post-installation O&M for solar systems across various locations.

* Monitor vendor performance, provide feedback, and develop innovative O&M models.

* Track O&M efforts, providing feedback for program design and procurement improvements.

* Maintain a database tracking O&M for all livelihood sites, measuring productivity against benchmarks.

* Assist vendors in resolving solar system/equipment issues.

* Compile and document O&M progress for stakeholders.

* Manage budgets and cash flows for O&M programs.

* Track, analyze, and evaluate team performance, reporting weekly/monthly/quarterly.

* Update the core team on progress and support documentation for funders and stakeholders.

* Conduct training workshops for team skill development.

* Ensure adherence to organizational processes and guidelines.

 

 

**Qualifications:**

 

* Minimum 10 years of experience in end-user service, support management, and leadership; experience in relevant sectors preferred.

* BE/BTech in EEE or a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Electronics preferred.

* Excellent understanding of technology, software applications, O&M systems, and practices.

* Strong training and coaching skills.

* Experience in budgeting and forecasting.

* Proactive problem-solving skills, strong decision-making, and ability to work in diverse environments.

* Excellent written and oral communication skills.

* Willingness to learn and develop rapidly.

* Ability to work in an interdisciplinary and multicultural environment.

* Willingness to travel extensively.
