**About the Role:**
The Senior Programme Associate will lead and support iFOREST’s research initiatives and policy engagement in Industrial Decarbonization. The role involves conducting impactful research, engaging multi-stakeholders, and contributing to evidence-based strategies for green industry transitions.
**Key Responsibilities:**
– Support the design and execution of research assignments, including strategy development and stakeholder engagement.
– Conduct primary and secondary research, utilizing qualitative and quantitative methods.
– Develop and write analytical reports, policy papers, and other research documents.
– Mentor junior researchers and stay updated with the latest tools and techniques in energy transition and environmental governance.
– Support outreach initiatives by contributing to communication materials and building partnerships with government, industry, and civil society.
– Present research findings at various forums and contribute to shaping program strategies aligned with institutional priorities.
**Qualifications:**
– Master’s degree in engineering, energy, or a related field (e.g., mechanical, environmental, industrial, power).
– 5-8 years of relevant work experience in research, consulting, or advisory on industrial decarbonization, energy transition, efficiency, and GHG accounting.
– Strong understanding of industrial processes, energy efficiency, pollution control technologies, regulations, and policies.
– Proven ability to conduct qualitative and quantitative research using tools like Excel, R, and QGIS.
– Demonstrated critical thinking, innovative problem-solving skills, and a passion for sustainability.
