**Job Title:** Senior Project Lead – State Reform
**Job Location:** Bhopal, Panchkula, Lucknow (with regular travel to Delhi and various districts in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Haryana)

Central Square Foundation (CSF) is a non-profit organization established in 2012, committed to improving learning outcomes for all school-going children in India through system-led reforms. CSF focuses on Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN), collaborating with state governments to design and implement statewide FLN missions. Their work encompasses policy, innovation, and practice, with a strong emphasis on scalable learning impact. Key areas of focus include EdTech integration, Early Childhood Education (ECE) reforms, and School Governance, aiming to reduce learning poverty across India.
**Job Description:**
The Senior Project Lead will play a crucial role in driving state reform initiatives within CSF’s FLN State Reform program in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Haryana. This involves overseeing a significant portfolio of work, encompassing both state-specific and central components, aligned with CSF’s overall reform objectives across the three states. Responsibilities include:
* Collaborating with the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) to develop academic materials, manage the printing and distribution process, and ensure timely delivery to schools.
* Managing the system-led assessment workstream, encompassing the development of assessment frameworks, tools, and processes; onboarding and training assessors; data collection and analysis; and reporting.
* Managing a team of 4-6 project managers and potentially collaborating with full-stack teams from partner organizations.
* Working closely with state project leads, coalition partners, and the State Mission Director to co-create and execute workstream plans.
* Supporting the management of district-level FLN fellows (in Madhya Pradesh), working closely with the State Mission Director.
**Experience Required:**
* Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university; Master’s degree preferred.
* 9-12 years of post-qualification work experience, preferably with a government entity, demonstrating a strong project delivery and management track record.
* Proven experience working with government stakeholders.
* Ability to analyze complex problems, develop solutions, and provide recommendations.
* Strong planning and prioritization skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Hindi.
* Ability to build and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with government stakeholders.
* Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of young professionals.
* Prior experience in the education sector, public/development sector, or consulting is preferred, but candidates with corporate experience and an interest in the education sector are also encouraged to apply.
