## Senior Research Officer

**ACCESS Health International** is a non-profit, think tank, and advisory group dedicated to improving access to high-quality and affordable healthcare for all people. We advise national and regional governments and the private sector on designing and managing healthcare finance and delivery systems. **Job Location:** Hyderabad, India

**Experience Required:**

* **Must have:** Proven at least 7-8 years of experience in writing proposals, designing, and conducting research studies across different regions.

* **Desirable:**

    * Prior work experience in health systems research and implementation research.

    * Exposure to Design thinking methodology and implementation of projects.

    * At least 4 Publications in peer-reviewed journals including quantitative/qualitative studies.

**Job Description/Responsibilities:**

We are seeking a Senior Research Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent research skills and a proven track record in conducting high-quality research in public health. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing research projects.

**Key Job Responsibilities:**

* Research Design and Implementation: Independently manage research projects from inception to completion.

* Develop research proposals, protocols, and methodologies, and conduct literature reviews as per the research design.

* Oversee and participate in data collection and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data.

* Prepare detailed high-quality reports, manuscripts, and presentations, and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals.

* Present findings at national/international conferences, workshops, and seminars.

* Collaborate with external stakeholders and build relationships with key partners to bring more business to the organization.

* Mentor and build competency of team members.

* Manage project budget, timelines, and resources, and ensure compliance with organizational requirements.

**Qualifications, Experience, and Competencies:**

* **Qualifications:** PhD in Health Systems, Public Health, Epidemiology, or a related field with at least 4 years of experience OR Master’s in Public Health with at least 7 years of research experience.

* **Skills and Competencies:**

    * Excellent research and data analysis skills.

    * Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., SAS/R/STATA).

    * Experience in Tableau/Python/Power BI/data visualization tools.

    * Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    * Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    * Exceptional organizational and project management skills.

    * Commitment to ethical research practices.

    * Ability to travel, if required.

**Nature of Employment:**

The selected candidate will be offered a one-year contract, with the possibility of extension, based on the continued availability of funding and performance.
