Our programs:
• Udhyam Shiksha works on developing entrepreneurial mindsets among the youth and enabling them to achieve their potential, having impacted ~16,00,000 learners across 10 Indian states.
• Udhyam Vyapaar focuses on nano businesses in India, and solving large problems faced by them, at scale; having already enabled up to a 27% income uplift for 5000+ entrepreneurs.
The goal for Udhyam is to build a thriving and supportive ecosystem, where every individual feels empowered to define their own path.

The marketing and communications team is a small and high-impact team. We are zealous about customer centricity and our passion to make a difference is matched with our empathy. Roles and responsibilities:
As a Marketing and Communications Senior Specialist at Udhyam, you will play a crucial role in building and bolstering our brand and advocating our cause and mission.
Your work will span across researching, strategizing, planning, creating and executing initiatives through strategic content creation and communication campaigns.
We would love to hear from you if you can conjure a picture with your thoughts and written words; if you can curate and create; if your content and communications can – inform, inspire and create a trend.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Thought Leadership: Positioning Udhyam as a thought leader in the development sector through effective communication and brand campaigns.
- Strategic Content Creation & Development: Crafting communication goals and innovative strategies to maximise impact. Planning and creating written and visual content to establish stewardship as well as explain our work, with a focus on storytelling.
- New Communication Methods: Creating and distributing concepts, stories, and messaging for key events, activations, and campaigns.
- For your work, you will need to collaborate with the various program teams, strategic partners and work closely with them to uncover, craft captivating and compelling stories.
- Employee Branding and Internal Communication: Enhancing internal communication and employee (current and potential) branding efforts.
- Positioning Brands and Leaders: Establishing brand and leader presence across social media and PR platforms.
- Competitor and Industry Research is a given; you will analyse competitor (peer group) strategies and industry trends in communication and content creation
It would be wonderful if you had experience in PR and Digital Marketing: Implementing PR, social media, SEO and brand strategies to enhance visibility and engage the target audience.
360 Marketing Experience will add value to co-creating and strengthening various marketing and communication strategies and tactics. - If you have a flair for Online Community Management – i.e. playing a role in strategizing and managing the online community – it will be a bonus
Skills, Experience, and Mindsets:
- We would prefer you to have a Bachelor’s degree or higher in English Literature, Communications, Journalism, or/and have 6-10 years of relevant work experience in Marketing, communications and brand building.
- Experience in Corporate Communications, PR, and social media management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a balance between brevity and detail.
- Commitment to advancing equality, social justice and inclusion.
- Strong attention to detail and demonstrated project management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Proficiency in using social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube).
- Advanced user of Microsoft Office and familiarity with content, social media, and digital asset management software and WordPress
- Driven by a purpose-filled career.
