As a product manager for b2c products, you will:

  • Be the voice of the customer. You will talk to customers, listen to their feedback, and understand their needs and wants. You will turn their pain points into solutions and their dreams into reality. 🙌
  • Be the boss of your own product line. You will define the “Why” and “What” and “When to launch” of assigned initiatives and build consensus around the same with stakeholders. You will own the product vision, strategy, and road map of your product line. 🚀
  • Be the master of your craft. You will design, test, and validate product features and functionality with customers and stakeholders. You will use data and customer insights to make informed decisions and measure your impact. 📊
  • Be the leader of the pack. You will work with cross-functional teams, such as engineering, design, marketing, sales, and support, to deliver high-quality products that solve customer problems and provide value. You will communicate the product vision, goals, and progress to internal and external stakeholders. 🗣

To rock this role, you should have:

  • Customer-centric and user-focused mindset. You should be able to empathise with customers and understand their needs and wants. You should be obsessed with creating products that customers love and that make a positive difference in their lives. ❤️
  • Good understanding of discovery frameworks. Be able to deploy best practices and tools to understand customer needs, apply proven framework to prioritise customer needs and build consensus around the priority order.
  • Strong analytical, data visualisation and problem-solving skills. You should be able to develop and deploy best practices for data gathering, build data dashboards, and generate valuable insights from the data in a structured way to facilitate smart decision making.  
  • Creative and be able to think differently in a constrained environment. You should be able to come up with new ideas and solutions that wow users. 💡
  • Leadership and collaboration skills. You should be able to lead, influence, and work well with cross-functional teams to uncover, craft captivating and compelling stories. You should be able to inspire, motivate, and empower others. 👏
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with focus on Storytelling. You should be able to charm the socks off anyone with your words and slides. 😍
  • Agile and lean product development methodologies. You should be able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You should be able to adapt to changing customer needs, market conditions, and business priorities. 🏃
  • Technical and domain knowledge. You should be able to understand the technical aspects and challenges of the product and the Edtech industry. You should be able to speak the same language as engineers and designers. 🖥

To qualify for this role, you should have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in product management or a related field, preferably in the b2c domain. 📅
  • A proven track record of managing and launching successful b2c products that have achieved customer satisfaction, retention, and growth. 🏆
  • A portfolio of products or projects that demonstrate your product management skills and achievements. 📁
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and how to utilise them for promotional purposes. 😍
  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in business, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Candidates who studied in Tier 2  / Tier 3 / Tier 4 towns will be preferred. 🎓
