**Position Overview:**
The Social Mobilizer plays a critical role in implementing Room to Read’s Girl’s Education Program (GEP) at the field level. Reporting to the Program Associate/Officer, this position is responsible for mentoring and supporting approximately 90 girls annually, ensuring their academic success and personal development. The role requires strong interpersonal skills, adaptability, and a commitment to working in remote and community-based settings.
**Key Responsibilities:**
– Implement GEP activities as per program design, including life skills sessions, mentorship, and group discussions.
– Engage families and communities through meetings and consultations to address issues such as early marriage and menstrual hygiene.
– Facilitate the setup and maintenance of Gender Resource Centres (GRCs) for girls’ education and support activities.
– Conduct regular home visits to assess risks and provide targeted interventions to prevent girl dropouts.
– Maintain accurate records, submit reports, and analyze data related to attendance, dropouts, and program outcomes.
**Qualifications:**
– Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
– Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in education or development sectors, including internships.
– Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, Hindi, and Marathi.
– Experience in mentoring, counseling, or working with adolescents is an advantage.
