About the Organization
Koshish- the field action project at Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai works on the issue of Homeless & Destitution, especially the institutional population processed under the Beggary Preventive Legislation with focus towards their rehabilitation. Seeking decriminalization of poverty, Koshish addresses the interrelated issues of destitution, homelessness and mental health through interventions pitched at different levels. The interventions comprise addressing immediate needs, facilitating sustainable rehabilitation and advocacy for structural reforms. The issues of mental health and social entitlements are at the core of all our interventions.
Education Qualification/Required Skills and Experience
Post graduate degree in Social Work. Minimum 2 years of work experience in the development sector, preferably on the issues of urban poverty. Strong writing and communication skills, with knowledge of English and Hindi.
Salary
Rs. 36,602 per month
These positions are on a contractual basis for a period of 9 months. Please note that these are full-time positions (5 days a week and weekends, in case of field emergency) based out of Mumbai.
