 ISDM is an institution founded to create, strengthen and establish Development Management, a domain that transcends the exclusive silos of ‘development perspectives’ and ‘management principles’. ISDM recognises the need to ‘professionalise’ the Leading and Managing of Social Purpose Organisations (SPOs). The institution sees the development space as requiring the application of management disciplines that are unique and tailored to the scale of the sector. 1. Continuously building the one-year-long Post-Graduate Program in Development Management (PGP-DM);

3. Launching Strategic Capacity Building Programs aimed at influencing and upskilling middle to senior leaders in the social sector through special workshops, short-term courses, and customized convenings.

The belief is that Management for the Social Sectors (or Development Management) will significantly scale up the positive impacts on the lives of people in sustained ways. ISDM is entering a new phase of growth with a revamped program and renewed focus on establishing itself firmly as a preeminent institution in its domain. This requires strategic and energetic institutional leadership. 

About Strategic Capacity Building (SCB)

Strategic Capacity Building (SCB) at ISDM began with a view that while the 1-year PGP is impacting fresh graduates and young professionals, Body of Knowledge is focused on curating and building knowledge, there is a great need to work with the mid and senior management and leadership in the sector today, to be able to evangelise the change we want to see and build the society we envision. 

The Strategic Capacity Building (SCB) vertical of ISDM works with SPOs to build their foundational capabilities in Leadership & Management and with Corporates to effectively leverage their resources to address the development sector needs and bring out the much desired change in social space. 

SCB engages with key stakeholders such as CSRs, Foundations, NGOs, Intermediaries, Collaboratives, Government, Development Professionals, Volunteers, Social Entrepreneurs through: 

  • Open programs for key stakeholders to catalyze social sector leadership such as Executive Development Programs for mid-senior professionals,  Nation Building Programs targeting groups such as CXOs, Women Leaders, etc
  • Custom Learning & Organisation Development solutions which aligns with strategic goals of the organisations 
  • Digital solutions to drive collective & collaborative learning 
  • Advisory services for Impact Assessment to evaluate the effectiveness and significance of changes made on people and planet through programs and projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Co create and implement effective marketing strategies , including social media, to increase program awareness and attract applicants
  • Meet or exceed enrollment targets for each program
  • Generate qualified leads for the program. Work with the CRM system for lead generation and management
  • Streamline and optimise the outreach and enrolment process for the programs, working with admission team
  • Plan and execute effective communication and outreach events  such as webinars, events
  • Data analytics for program admission trends, profile of participants etc. to enhance data based decision 
  • Do competitor analysis from the market on similar programs and use insights to drive program scale  and also share inputs with program design team
  • Manage the budget allocated for the outreach

Experience and Qualification Required

  • Should have 4-8 years of work experience 
  • Ability to develop and implement effective marketing strategies to promote the program  and attract a diverse pool of applicants
  • Ability to convince and persuade potential candidates to apply for the program, understand their needs and present the value of the program
  • Familiarity with admissions software, CRM systems, and other relevant technologies to manage and track interactions with prospective participants, ensuring timely follow-ups and personalized communication
  • Ability to utilize social media platforms for outreach and advertising, staying current with trends and engaging with the target audience
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of the admissions process, including application requirements, deadlines, and evaluation criteria
  • Ability to manage budgets for outreach activities and ensure cost-effective recruitment strategies
  • Understand the competitive landscape and conduct market research to identify opportunities for program growth
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Excellent collaboration skills to work with internal teams (admissions, academic etc), and external partners
  • Excellent negotiation Skills to negotiate and collaborate with potential participants, organizations and educational partners to facilitate successful admissions
  • Possessing target oriented approach
