Job Description:

The Role Context: The Sr. Consultant/Consultant of Government Affairs will interact with central and state government ministries/departments and/or bodies to represent the organizations business plans and interests. He/She shall work with the WITP team and shall assist Sr. Manager/Manager – Government Affairs in day-to-day activities in building and managing government business for entire Wadhwani Foundation in India.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Sr. Manager/Director in creation of proposals and government relations management.
  • Builds and maintains professional relationships with central and state government entities/bodies and other relevant stakeholders in the ecosystem
  • Support Sr. Manager/Director to identify opportunities for engagement of WITP and other initiatives of the Foundation with government and positioning
  • Wadhwani Foundation as preferred organisation for potential partnerships with central and state government agencies
  • Shall assist to reform existing public policies and shaping of new government policies, especially in the emerging technology, MSME, job creation and skilling sector
  • Facilitate operationalization of projects and implementation programs of the Foundation
  • Keep tracks of government activities that could affect the organizations business and clients and apprise senior management on regular basis
  • Work collaboratively and transparently with the business units to ensure alignment for core business objectives.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Skills & Experience:

  • Should be an MBA/MCA/Postgraduate with 5-7 years of experience of working with central and/or state government.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively and comfortably interact with government officials.
  • Experience in consulting environment and project management experience will be given preference.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, establish priorities, meet deadlines, and solve problems.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively as part of a larger team and with a variety of colleagues, external partners, and policy leaders.
  • Efficient time management and ability to multitask and prioritize competing priorities.
  • Sound judgment, good analytical and technical capabilities, good oral communication and writing skills, strong conceptual and strategic thinking skills.
  • Fluent in Hindi and English
