Position Summary
We are looking for exceptional candidates to work in our WEE-Data for Insights, Innovation & Impact (Di3) Hub, and shape/ quality assure the organization’s more programmatic data and evidence needs. The position will report to Lead- Data, Applied Research and Analytics, working on several initiatives in the Data and Insights pillar. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in statistics and data analytics techniques. They should have experience of working on multiple kinds of public, private, and metadata across economic, social and business indicators. You must be mission focussed, love reading and staying on top of employment, entrepreneurship, industry trends, and gender. Key Responsibilities of the Position
- Work with senior team members to assist in the broader data and applied research strategy of the Udaiti Foundation.
- Perform end-to-end tasks in data analytics projects including data scraping, data transformation, data analysis and developing interactive dashboards and reports.
- Analyse existing and emerging data gaps on women economic empowerment with special focus on workforce participation and entrepreneurship development.
- Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
- Design and develop survey design, questionnaires, polls etc. that meet the research requirements.
Background and Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Economics, Data Science or Development Studies, or related field is mandatory.
- At least one year of data analytics experience in related fields.
Key Competencies / Attributes
- Proven expertise in using software packages like R and python is mandatory
- Proven expertise in visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau or other similar tools
- Experience in conducting geo-spatial analysis using software like QGIS, R or python is desirable
- Ability to structure hypothesis, build thoughtful analyses, develop underlying data models and bring clarity to previously undefined problems
- Strong problem solving & analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills; written and oral
