About The/Nudge:

The/Nudge is an action institute working towards a poverty-free India, within our lifetime. We partner with governments, markets, and civil society to build resilient livelihoods for all. We are a collective of some of India’s best leaders and entrepreneurs from across industry, academia, government, and development sectors, and our work is organized across three impact streams:

  • Centre for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (CSDE): to enable underprivileged youth access gainful employment
  • Centre for Rural Development (CRD): to enable families to come out of extreme poverty
  • Centre for Social Innovation (CSI):  to enable a thriving livelihoods ecosystem (talent, capital, infrastructure etc) in India

As the Director of Fundraising, you will work closely with the Chief Development Officer to align on the overall strategy for the Fundraising team and deliver with complete ownership on our aspirations.

At The/Nudge, you will:

  • role model ‘the spirit of The/Nudge’ in your action and behavior
  • be a hands-on leader to build, coach and lead the team to deliver on our goals
  • lead the annual fundraising planning process for The/Nudge Institute & own the overall strategy and goals for the fundraising team
  • work closely with the Chief Development Officer to identify effective short-term & long-term strategies to achieve the fundraising targets
  • own fundraising targets across multiple channels including corporates, foundations and individuals quarter on quarter
  • build systems, processes, and capabilities needed to raise funds and bring support in order to enable all our programs to deliver and scale their impact
  • collaborate extensively with program teams to understand their impact outcomes, funding needs & develop go-to-market strategies based on their needs 
  • build & nurture donor/stakeholder relationships, in alignment with ‘the spirit of The/Nudge’
  • represent the organization at various forums involving stakeholders such as other non-profits, foundations, and government agencies etc

Apply if you have:

  • high energy, passion, and hunger for doing impactful work 
  • a graduate degree in any discipline; MBA is preferred
  • 15+ years of demonstrated success in GTM/external facing roles with progressively increasing responsibilities
  • strong result-orientation, with a history of exceeding expectations
  • proven ability to build, manage and develop key stakeholder relationships
  • excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills; both written and verbal
  • hands-on, intrapreneurial leadership style, with a growth and learning mindset
  • the ability to work independently yet in a collaborative manner in a fast-paced, dynamic, agile environment
