**Job Title:** Sr. Manager – Livelihoods

**About the Position:**
This project-based role offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience.
**Qualifications Required:**
* MBA in Agribusiness, Masters in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Policy, Social Policy, Economics, or a related field from a reputed college (e.g., IIM, ISB, IIT, IIFM, IRMA, JNU, TISS, University of Hyderabad, Azim Premji University).
**Experience Required:**
* Approximately 10 years of experience in consulting or with INGOs in livelihood promotion interventions, particularly supporting large-scale government interventions at the national or state level.
* Experience working directly with government departments.
* Experience monitoring and evaluating livelihood & poverty alleviation activities for impact assessment.
* Experience providing training and support on livelihoods interventions and tools.
* Experience liaising with skill-building institutes (public and private/CSR).
* Experience facilitating periodic reviews (including preparing analytical presentations) for government departments.
* Demonstrated experience coordinating and partnering with key stakeholders (government departments, local organizations, academic institutions, and CSRs).
**Skills and Competencies:**
* Strong communication skills, including academic writing and large data visualization. Preference given to candidates comfortable writing in Hindi and English.
* Flexibility in working arrangements.
**About the Role:**
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Support the development of livelihood strategies in collaboration with government departments, implementation partners, local academic institutions, and CSRs for ultra-poor households (including livelihood promotion, financial inclusion, and social empowerment).
* Document and facilitate strategies for livelihoods projects, enhance and facilitate implementation of livelihood improvement initiatives.
* Facilitate the identification of effective livelihood pathways for targeted ultra-poor households.
* Support the design of farm and non-farm/off-farm livelihood options and strategies for ultra-poor households, considering their capabilities, geographies, and potential for CSR support.
* Analyze the value chain of selected livelihoods projects, identifying potential challenges and mitigation strategies.
* Map government schemes related to skill development, employment generation, and financial assistance, and facilitate access to these schemes.
* Stay updated on livelihood sector innovations/trends and integrate best practices.
* Support the government in regularly reviewing livelihood projects during meetings and ensure collaboration with other government programs.
* Create analytical presentations, concept papers, and other communication materials.
* Undertake periodic field visits to coordinate with partners and prepare human-interest stories.
* Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

**About the Project:**
PCI India provides technical assistance to the Uttar Pradesh government for a technology-driven poverty alleviation initiative encompassing social protection, financial inclusion, and livelihoods planning. This role requires close collaboration with senior government leadership, multiple welfare departments, implementation partners, academia, and corporate houses to ensure sustainable poverty alleviation for ultra-poor households.
