Position Summary
The Senior Program Manager, Partnerships at CEGIS would play a crucial role in developing and managing strategic partnerships to support our mission of partnering with state governments to deliver better citizen outcomes. This position reports to VP-Operations / State Engagements and requires a strategic thinker with strong relationship-building skills, capable of balancing multiple programmatic and sectoral requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive partnerships strategy aligned with CEGIS’s mission and goals.
- Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with NGOs, academic institutions, and corporate entities to support CEGIS interventions that span across multiple sectors, including Public
- Finance, Education, Nutrition, Health, and Local Governance.
- Manage strong functional relationships with existing partners, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and mutual support.
- Collaborate with program teams to seamlessly integrate partnership activities into project plans.
- Monitor and evaluate partnership performance, track key metrics, and report on outcomes to stakeholders.
- Represent CEGIS in external meetings, conferences, and networking events to expand partnership opportunities.
- Stay informed about industry trends, funding opportunities, and best practices in partnership development.
- Drawing from our work and from Prof. Karthik’s book, internalise and disseminate the CEGIS
- Theory of Change amongst key stakeholders and ensure there is resonance of the CEGIS narrative in the partner ecosystem.

Expected Qualifications:
- Masters degree in a relevant field (e.g., Public Administration / Public Policy, International Relations, Business / Marketing).
- Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in partnership development, fundraising, or related roles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven track record of successful partnership management and collaboration.
- Experience in project management, including planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Knowledge of public sector programs, state government operations, or related sectors is desirable.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.

The Senior Program Manager, Partnerships will report to the VP – Operations / State Engagements and will collaborate closely with our project delivery teams, solution design teams, communications and other teams.

Location and Compensation:
Location:
- Flexible – Can be in any of these cities in India (Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru. Chennai or Hyderabad). The role may involve frequent travel to other locations within India.
- Remuneration will be competitive with Indian philanthropy and social sector pay scales and will depend on the candidate’s experience levels.
